During lockdowns and due to a joint effort of young people and community organizations from my city of Haifa, we’ve developed a concept for a local culture festival that made social distancing regulations to the main event - ‘TOP20’ is a format for a variety of local community gatherings that hold up to 20 people and take place in open air rooftops and other public spaces.
The first edition of TOP20 successfully put together hundreds of participants and dozens of organizers and hosts, who not only found themselves a good time in between lockdowns, but also a chance to meet new people face to face and to make friends after long periods of social distancing.
TOP20 festival has found its way to various areas all over Israel - from the Upper Galilee region to the city of Beer-sheva. And a tradition that upgrades every year within Haifa.
